Hoofeeze poultice Boot

The Hoofeeze poultice Boot has a tough but flexible rubber sole with a neoprene sleeve vulcanized to the internal surface.

The neoprene cuff allows stretching for ease of fitting but comfort and mobility when fastened. Closure of the boot is achieved by securing a Velcro tab and straps ensuring a skin-tight fit, which is flexible and breathable and, so far, has not yet been removed by any horse.

Uses

The Hoofeeze poultice boot is primarily a flexible but durable boot to assist in the healing of hoof ailments, such as poulticing for stone bruising or hoof abscesses and other infections without the need for bandaging.

A major advantage of the boot is the ability to maintain a clean environment for the repair of the hoof ailment in a range of ground conditions.

The poultice boot can also be used in the following situations:

  • Used by the stallion and/or mare during servicing to reduce kicking and scratching injuries.

  • Placed over shoes during surgery to prevent damage to expensive surgical mats and equipment and minimizing close quarter injuries to surgical staff.

N.B.
It is extremely important to seek veterinary advice, if needed, regarding the treatment of hoof ailments. The Hoofeeze poultice Boot is not a replacement for qualified advice, it is a treatment aid only.
